Buses will run in all cities within the lockdown
The government has decided to run morning-evening public transport services in all city corporation areas, including Dhaka, amid ongoing lockdown to prevent coronavirus. The decision will take effect from Wednesday, said Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader.
The bridge minister said this at a press conference held at his official residence on Tuesday afternoon. "It will start at 8am on Wednesday," he said. Public transport services will be available in all city corporation areas including Dhaka and Chittagong from 8 am to 6 pm. However, no transport outside the city will be able to enter or exit the city.
Incidentally, the government announced a one-week lockdown from Monday. The announcement was made today.
