JOB PURPOSE
The Area Manager (AM) is responsible to ensure district-based (2 districts) overall coordination and operation management of CHT with BRAC’s programs and Outside of BRAC.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- District level coordination with local managers, BDC, and staff of respective programs to ensure necessary support for CHT interventions.
- Supervised and Assist Senior Officers, Gender with monthly target setting the field activities to mobilize community people & students in the gender issues especially on GBV, SH, CM.
- Organize, facilitate and participate in district level different meetings, dialogue, training, workshop, event, etc
- Develop monthly and annual plan action plan, meeting plan, set targets, and deliver to the respective supervisor
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration with partner programs and enterprises for achieving gender integration targets within timeframe
- Identify operational challenges and take steps for problem-solving as well as provide referral linkages related to gender-based violence
- Take initiative to develop the capacity of staff and volunteers
- Regular visit and follow up to selected platform and forum of Gender Officer’s and volunteers for quality assurance purpose
- Ensure regular documentation and reporting to the respective supervisor
- Ensure effective field-based budget expenditure in collaboration with local accounts
- Ensure effective local level advocacy and networking with relevant GOs and NGO stakeholders.
- Organize and celebrate days and events for promoting women’s rights and gender equality
- Communicate with relevant GOs and NGOs stakeholders, law enforcement agencies, in the district level and ensure effective local level advocacy and networking with involved them in program activity.
SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation.Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
- Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
- Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
ADDITIONAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Strong inter-personal and communication skill.
- Ability of strong coordination and partnership building with GOs NGOs and different stake holders.
- Good capacity of office administration and management skill of field operation
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Master’s Degree in any discipline from any reputed educational institute.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
3 years of relevant experience.
