RAB has arrested Ishtiaq Amin Fouad and his accomplice RJ from Farmgate and Mohakhali in the capital. ASP AN M Imran Khan, assistant director of RAB's legal and media wing, confirmed the matter on Sunday afternoon.
He said three people, including Mulhota Ishtiaq Amin Fouad and his accomplice, a so-called female RJ, had been arrested in a case of sexual harassment and attempted murder of a male beauty blogger. They were arrested from Farmgate and Mohakhali in the capital on Saturday.
The details will be announced at a press conference, said the assistant director of RAB's legal and media wing.
It may be mentioned that a case was filed against three persons including a woman for torturing and killing a transgender person in Bashundhara residential area of the capital. The case was filed at Bhatara police station in the capital last Friday. The accused are Ishtiaq Amin Fouad alias Sunny, Rishu and Saima Nira.
The accused Fouad used to pretend to be a member of the armed forces. And Saima Nira used to introduce herself as a police officer.
According to the victim, he believed the young man and went to the second floor flat of a house on Road No. 5 in C block of Bashundhara residential area around 3:30 pm. After going there, he saw a woman and another man.
The three took video of the victim undressing. When he resisted, the three men started beating him and said that they would spread the video on social media. At this time the three introduced themselves as law men. The victim also alleged that they had weapons and walkie-talkies.
