Chargesheet order against Nasir-Amir in Parimani's case on 18 May
The tribunal has fixed May 18 for ordering the formation of charges against three people, including Jatiya Party presidium member Nasir Uddin Mahmud, in a case filed by actress Parimani on charges of sexual harassment.
The chargesheet against the accused was heard at the Women and Child Abuse Suppression Tribunal No. 9 in Dhaka on Tuesday. Judge Mohammad Hemayet Uddin fixed a new date after hearing both sides. Nasir and Ami, who were on bail during the hearing, were present in the tribunal.
The bride appeared in court that day. Standing in the courtroom during the hearing, Parimani told the judge, "They (the accused) do not need any room to rape in the boat club. When you call, the lights in the club go off. They jump on any girl in the open field at will. There is no control. They tried to rape me. The lights in the room turned off the fan and he tried to kill her. Then Parimani said, ‘Everyone tells me to stop. But I have to say. Because they have a lot of power. '
After the hearing in the court, Parimani said in response to the question of the journalists, "If I can't stand in the court and speak, then where will I speak." In court I tried to speak. But everyone tried to keep me quiet. If a rapist (accused Nasir) wanders in the open air, then what will be my plea. '
Journalists want to know about coming to court while pregnant. "I stand against injustice," he said. I need a fair trial. I want a fair trial. I will fight at any stage. "
Earlier on December 13, the court took cognizance of the chargesheet filed by the police against Nasir Uddin Mahmud, Tuhin Siddiqui Ami and Shahidul Alam in the case. As Shahidul Alam was a fugitive, the court issued an arrest warrant against him on the same day. Earlier, on September 6 last year, Nasir Uddin Mahmud, Tuhin Siddiqui Ami and Shahidul Alam were charged in the case by investigating officer Savar Model Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Kamal Hossain.
