Chittagong lawyer Advocate Mithun Biswas has sent a legal notice to singer Moinul Ahsan Noble for making objectionable comments about Rabindranath and the national anthem. The notice called for the removal of two statuses from his page and an unconditional public apology admitting the crime.
On Sunday (August 14), Moinul Ahsan sent the notice to Noble's Demra address in Dhaka. Musician Noble posted two statuses from his Facebook on August 10 and 11. After that a legal notice was sent to him.

The legal notice says, you must be aware that the song 'Amar Sonar Bangla, I love you' is not only our national anthem but also a unique expression of the heart-wrenching love of every people of Bangladesh.

That is why any kind of propaganda and campaigning or providing support against the song 'Amar Sonar Bangla, Aami Tomeh Sambhu' protected by the constitution of the independent sovereign Bangladesh achieved through the great liberation war has been considered as a punishable offense under the existing laws of the country.
According to the legal notice, the two statuses published on Nobel's Facebook page contain intentionally fabricated, baseless, fictitious, defamatory and hateful offensive comments against the National Anthem of Bangladesh and its author Rabindranath Tagore, the best poet of Bengali literature, literary world poet, offensive, false, baseless, defamatory, hateful. The patriots of Bangladesh have hurt the hearts of every citizen of Bangladesh for deliberately dishonest purposes through false propaganda. Which is a punishable offense according to the prevailing laws of the country.
It is said there, within 7 days of receiving the notice, he will remove the said hateful, false and defamatory status published on his name page on the social media Facebook and confess his crime and apologize publicly.
Otherwise, necessary legal measures will be taken including filing a case in the appropriate court under the relevant section of the Digital Security Act against Nobel for intentionally spreading hateful, false, ugly, fabricated, defamatory statements against the national anthem of Bangladesh and its author Rabindranath Tagore through digital media and on his Facebook page.
