The most awaited award show of the year '67th Parle Filmfare Awards - South 2022' took place. The event was held in Bengaluru on Sunday (October 9) to recognize the work of the best films in the Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam film industries.
South Indian stars turned out in their best attire to win the coveted 'Black Lady' in the Best Movie, Actor and Technical categories. Winners are announced from Best Films in 2020 and 2021.

Filmfare is organized for the first time in Bangalore.
The film 'Pushpa: The Rise' has won awards in all important categories from the Telugu film industry. South's biggest icon Allu Arjun won the best actor award. He bagged the Black Lady in recognition of his excellent performance in the movie 'Pushpa: The Rise'. Besides, 'Pushpa: The Rise' won Filmfare as the best film. Sukumar Bandreddy, the director of Pushpa: The Rise, won the best director award. Pushpa: The Rise also won Best Singer, Best Female Singer and Best Cinematography awards.

Suriya's 'Joy Bhim' was selected as the best film in Telugu. Suriya also won the best actor award for the movie 'Surarai Patru'. Lizomol Jose won the best actress for 'Surarai Patru'. Sudha Kangra won the best director for the movie 'Surarai Patru'.

Biju Menon won the best actor award at the Malayalam Filmfare. He won the Filmfare with his amazing performance in the movie 'Ayyappanum Koshiyum'. Best Actress went to Nimisha Sajayan, for her outstanding performance in the movie 'The Great Indian Kitchen'. Sinna Hegde was selected as the best director for the movie 'Thinkalaanch Ashwaam'.

Dhananjaya was selected as the best actor from the Kannada industry. He won this award from the movie 'Badava Rascal'. 'Act 1978' was selected as the best film. Yagna Shetty won the best actress award for the same movie.

The winners were announced amid dazzling performances by popular South stars Pooja Hegde, Mrinal Thakur, Kriti Shetty, Sania Ayyappan and Aindritha Roy. The Bangalore International Exhibition Center became crowded with this grand event. Dignath and Ramesh Aurobindo hosted the awards night.
