Another masterpiece from the South, 'Kantara' is the highest rated Indian film surpassing KGF.

Corona situation has broken the pillars of the entertainment world, but it has removed the language barrier. Post Corona, 'Pushpa: The Rise', 'RRRR' and 'KGF Chapter 2' have done very well. This time Yash's film was overshadowed by Rishabh Shetty's 'Kantara'. The action thriller film released on September 30 and is currently rocking the Karnataka box office. Kantara has already surpassed KGFK to become the highest rated Indian film in terms of IMDb ratings.
The film has an IMDb rating of 9.5. On the other hand KGF Chapter 2 has a rating of 8.4 and RRR has a rating of 8. The Hindi version of the film was released on October 14. The Telugu version will release on October 15. Kantara has done a business of 58 crore rupees in Karnataka so far. Not just box office success and IMDb ratings, Kantara has also received praise from the industry's leading stars.
'Baahubali' Prabhas wrote on social media praising the film, 'This is the second time I have seen Kantara. What a great experience! Great concept and great climax. A movie worth watching in the theater.' Dhanush tweeted in appreciation, 'Kantara, great! A picture to watch. Rishabh Shetty should be proud of himself. Keep pushing the limit like this. Hugs to all the cast and crew of the film.' Appreciation also came from Rana Daggubati.
Incidentally, Kantara is written and directed by Rishabh Shetty. Apart from him, actors and actresses like Kishore, Achyut Kumar, Saptami Gowda, Pramod Shetty acted in the film.
