Types of male breast cancer


According to the CDC, men can develop 3 types of breast cancer:


>> Invasive ductal carcinoma: This type of breast cancer starts in the ducts. It then grows outside the duct into other parts of the breast tissue.


>> Invasive lobular carcinoma: Cancer cells start in the lobules. It then spreads to the breast tissue.


>> Ductal carcinoma in situ: This is a malignant type of breast cancer. In this case, although the cancer nestles in the lining of the ducts, it does not spread to other breast tissues.


These 3 types of cancer can only be detected by mammogram, ultrasound, breast discharge examination or biopsy.
