Shakib Al Hasan 'Shakib is irresponsible', Sehwag slammed the Bangladesh captain

Virender Sehwag criticized Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan. Before taking the field against India, Shakib said that Bangladesh did not come to win the World Cup. The former Indian cricketer is angry with his comments. Sehwag criticized the Bangladesh captain as practically irresponsible.

Bangladesh lost by 5 runs against India in the T20 World Cup in a rain-hit breathless match. Sehwag praised Liton Das' performance. Shakib's comments on the eve of the match were interpreted by many as a psychological struggle. Sehwag does not think so. The former opening batter said,

The captain must take responsibility for this comment. Nazmul Hossain Shanto was dismissed first against India. Shakib also got out in that over. Bangladesh lost 3 wickets in a row. A pair they could have made would have been different. A 50-run partnership is required in T20 cricket. A pair of 20 runs from 10 balls can also change the color of the match.

According to Sehwag, the Bangladesh captain had already destroyed the team's morale. In a critical tone, the former cricketer said, "Their captain's strategy was wrong. Shakib should have stayed at the wicket at the end with the same responsibility as Virat Kohli. The captain should have taken the team out of the pressure. Instead of doing that, he made an inconsiderate comment before the match.

Bangladesh's performance depends a lot on Shakib. One of the best all-rounders in the world can change the outcome of a match with bat or ball. Shakib is yet to be seen at his best in T20 World Cup. Among them, Sehwag feels like losing before losing Shakib's comment about not coming to win the World Cup. According to him, Shakib should be more responsible in 22 yards and talk as captain.

It should be noted that before the match against India last Wednesday, Shakib said, "India is one of the contenders to win the World Cup." They are here to win the World Cup. We are not here to win the World Cup, nobody thinks we are even contenders. We understand the situation. If we lose India it will not happen."
