Actor Khalekuzzaman is no more
Theater personality and heroic freedom fighter Khalekuzzaman has passed to the land of no return. This actor breathed his last at 11 am on Tuesday morning. Several producers and actors have confirmed the news of his death. Khalekuzzaman was 72 years old at the time of his death. The death of this actor has cast a shadow of grief in the showbiz arena.
Ahsan Habib Nasim, President of the Acting Artists Association, said, "It is with a heavy heart that I inform you that the freedom fighter and prominent actor Md. Khalekuzzaman passed away at 11 am today (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiun). His funeral will be held at Bad Asr airport cargo ground today. Earlier, his first Janaza will be held at 3:30 PM at Niketan Masjid. After the second janaza, his dead body will be taken to his village home Narsingdi Jayanagar at night. This actor will be laid to rest there.
Producer Shihab Shaheen said, he participated in the liberation war for Mujib's army during the liberation war. His journey into TV dramas was through acting in the drama 'Sarpbhrame Rajju' aired on Bangladesh Television.
He also said, 'My dear, longtime colleague Khalek Bhai passed away this morning. Innalillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Raziun. From that year 2007 with "X Factor" walking with Khalek Bhai. Many works have been done with Khalek Bhai. He left today. Khalekuzzaman was a very good person.
It should be noted that in 1975, he became a listed artist of Bangladesh Television. At that time, he acted in the movie 'Anirban' directed by Kamal Ahmed with Nayakraj Razzaq and Kabri. At the beginning of his acting career, Khalekuzzaman was well appreciated by acting in TV dramas 'Tama', 'Bar Bari', 'Samy Asmay', 'Suvarna Samy'. At that time, he also received the call of stage play direction from Lucky Inam, Siraj Haider.
But being involved in business as well as acting made it impossible for him to direct plays on stage. However, during his college studies, he directed stage plays. Dr. Narsingdi. Khalekuzzaman, son of Kamsuzzaman and Shaista Akhter Zaman, was born in Shantahar.
