Mohammad Sahabuddin Chuppu is the 22nd President of the country. Former Sessions Judge Sahabuddin Chuppu was a member of Awami League's Advisory Council.
On Sunday (February 12) morning, nomination papers were submitted on his behalf at the election building in Agargaon.
Let's know the brief introduction of Sahabuddin Chuppur....
Md. Sahabuddin Chuppur was born in 1949 in Jubilee Tankpara (Shivarampur) of Pabna city. His father's name is Sharfuddin Ansari and mother's name is Khairunnessa. He passed SSC in 1966, HSC in 1968 and BSc in 1971 (conducted in 1972) from Edward College, Pabna. Later he obtained his Masters in Psychology from Rajshahi University in 1974 and LLB from Pabna Shahid Advocate Aminuddin Law College in 1975.
During his student life, he served as an active worker and president of Pabna District Chhatra League. Sahabuddin Chuppu, who actively participated in the Liberation War, joined the BCS (Judicial) cadre in 1982. He retired as a District and Sessions Judge in 2006 after 25 years of service as a Judge.
Soon after the BNP-Jamaat alliance came to power in 2001, Awami League and its affiliates' leaders and workers and minority communities were attacked. So that murder, rape and looting happen. Later, when the Awami League government came to power, it formed a commission to investigate those incidents, headed by Sahabuddin Chuppu.
From 2011 to 2016. Sahabuddin Chuppu served as Commissioner of Anti-Corruption Commission. Sahabuddin Chuppu was elected Secretary General of the Central Committee of Bangladesh Judicial Service Association twice consecutively in 1995 and 1996. He also did journalism early in his professional life. He is a life member of Pabna Press Club and Annada Govinda Public Library.
Sahabuddin Chuppu, who played one of the key roles in investigating the World Bank's alleged Padma Bridge corruption allegations during his tenure as ACC Commissioner, was able to prove the allegations to be false and empty. His investigative report was upheld by the Canadian Court.
On November 16, 1972, the eldest daughter of Dilalpur resident Ali Akhtar of Pabna city. Sahabuddin Chuppu got married to Rebecca Sultana. Dr. Rebecca Sultana joined the BCS administration cadre and retired in 2009 as Joint Secretary. He is currently a professor in the Department of Human Research Program at Prime Asia University and the founding chairman of Friends for Children Organization. Chuppu-Rebeka is the only child of the couple. Arshad Adnan (Ronnie) is currently working in a senior position in Prime Bank with higher degrees at home and abroad.
