Bhart 6G Alliance: 5G past, India begins preparations for 6G launch
Bhart 6G Alliance: Now the preparation to bring 6G in telecom technology in India has intensified. Union Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnav on Monday launched a new alliance on 6G. This alliance will work towards the development of new telecom technologies and 6G in India. India wants to prepare in time to bring in this 'next gen' technology, so as to reduce dependence on technology from other countries. Apart from this, India also wants to play an important role in these technical exports.
The 6G Alliance is a coalition of public sector, private sector and other sectors. All will contribute to advancing 6G. Also, it will be improved with new ideas. It will also have National Research Institutes and Science Organizations.
Prime Minister Modi presented the 6G Vision Document in March this year. Along with this 6G test bed was also announced. Any technology is actually tested before being launched on the test bed. It is a kind of trial which is done long before the launch.
However, 5G is yet to fully roll out across the country. 5G has been rolled out to companies, but not everyone is getting 5G. So it would be a bit premature to say that preparations are underway for 6G.
Efforts to bring 6G by 2030
India under the 6G alliance, must fulfill the vision given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. 6G should be rolled out in India by 2030, so that India can catch up with the rest of the world. Indian digital economy to reach USD 1 trillion by 2025.
