Shakib Khan's movie 'Priyatma' will run in all branches of Cineplex from Wednesday due to the pressure of the audience. Cineplex authorities have decided to extend the show of the film in all branches even though it was running in four branches till Tuesday. Star Cineplex Senior Manager (Media & Marketing) Mezbahuddin Ahmed confirmed this to the media.

There were no shows in the capital's Border Square and SKS Tower branches earlier. The exhibition of the film has started from Tuesday in these two branches. Also, at Bashundhara Star Cineplex in the capital, four shows were extended on Tuesday but six were kept on Wednesday.

Sony Square has two shows on Tuesday but four next Friday. Chittagong's Bali Arcade has two shows on Tuesday, but four shows will run on Wednesday.

Cineplex Senior Manager Mesbah Uddin Ahmed said, "We are surprised to note that the number of people watching Shakib Khan's movies at Star Cineplex has increased. I felt a lot of pressure from the audience, so I was forced to extend the show. We admit that Shakib Khan is the biggest star of the country in Bengali films. He has a lot of fans across the country. This Eid, we again felt that Star Cineplex has more visitors than the demand. If necessary, we will increase more shows.

Mejbah further said, “At the moment there is no opportunity to reduce the shows of desi movies. So we have to reduce the show of Hollywood ongoing movies. We have increased the show of Bangladeshi movies in those places. As Shakib's 'sweetheart' is increasing from Wednesday."

Incidentally, 'Priyatma' is running in 107 theaters across the country. The audience is enjoying the screen chemistry of Shakib-Idhika. Produced by Arshad Adnan, the romantic-action film is directed by Himel Ashraf. Its story was written by late Farooq Hossain.

Kazi Hayat, Shahiduzzaman Salim, Lutfar Rahman George, Don, Shahid Un Nabi, Elina Shammi etc. also acted in different roles in the film. 'Priyatma' will be released in theaters in the United States and Canada on July 7.
