Virus fever or viral fever, as it is known to many. This fever spreads suddenly and very easily from person to person. If one person in the family is affected, there is a risk that the rest will also be affected.

In this fever, the body temperature can rise to 102 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit. Bites all over the body. Vomiting occurs, along with runny nose and sneezing. Eyes become red. If these symptoms are present, it can be assumed that the patient has viral fever.

what to do

If the body temperature is high due to viral fever, the whole body of the patient should be wiped with a towel soaked in normal temperature water. If you do this several times, the body temperature will come down. Water can be given on the head. There is no need to put any extra kantha on the body. A paracetamol tablet/syrup may be given with a small amount of food if the fever persists. But it should be taken after eating.

If the fever is very high, above 102°F, one Diclofen/Clofenac suppository in adults and one APA suppository 125 or 250 mg in children can be given in the toilet, depending on age. Antihistamine tablets or syrup should be given appropriately for colds. Antihistamine tablets include Expillin/ Histacin/ Histalex/ Antista etc.

One of these tablets can be given three times a day. In case of children, the syrup of the same name can be taken three times a day in one teaspoonful. If vomiting is profuse, Motilon/Avomin can be given immediately for one and if vomiting does not stop, one three times a day.

Apart from this, plenty of vitamin C-rich drinks and fruits, such as oranges, amlaki, pineapples, etc. can be consumed. Drink plenty of water. It is good to have two to three cups of orange juice a day. Instead, you can take one vitamin C tablet four to five times a day. All normal foods can then be eaten.

Within two to three days this fever is cured.

what not to do

There is no need to take antibiotics if you have a viral fever. Consult a doctor if the fever does not improve within three to four days. During this time, food and drink should not be stopped. Do not stay indoors. Try to stay away from others as it is contagious.
